This self proclaimed Heavy groove sound is being created by a guitar and bass duo. They are looking to collaborate and I think they are a prime example of a band that would be good for that. This track had some definate stand out guitar parts, but if theres only a guitar and bass, why can't I hear moore from that bass. The parts of it I could hear made me want to hear more but it seems to me to many times in heavy songs the bass is buried. Sucks for a bass fan. Reminds me of a Motor head with more vocal effects. Over all this tune stayed flat sounding. While their other tracks do not. There is talent here for sure I can't wait to here their improvement, but this track was a good idea that needed more of something.
After putting this track into the podcast software. I now officially hate this song. Everything except the drums is so compressed. So on the EQ its like low, but every so often the drum would ping my meter. Question. If this group is two guys. A guitar, and a bass, then why the fuck are the drums hot. Not even all of them. Just here and there!

A one man band , and another submission from Portugal. This was not my favorite song of the month. In fact I think it was my least favorite, but. lol. I want to offer feedback to someone actually looking for it. I love the ambient sounds strung along in this track. While I thought it was the intro that killed it for me. I appreciate the exploration of sounds that this band uses. Good guitar and transitions. The drums really fit well into the track, The lyrics were mostly not understandable and the vocals went to places that maybe they should not have gone. Overall This bands music is packed with ideas. It's just there is a balance between to much and to little. Keep it up, keep collaborating, and keep exploring. Finally since I don't think any one else will bring it up. I'll say it. Cotard in english is similar to Retard and so while I don't like to pick on band names because they are personal, and already set. It might be worth mentioning.

So dude. I almost totally hated this song when I first heard it. I added it so that we could talk about it's failures, but While it gives me this uneasy feeling, I am growing to really like it. It's like listening to heavy Metal under water. Was it my favorite? No. I thought for what it was it was way to long. Over six minutes! Shit dude. Good production, and I love the grinding groove guitar. The drums are kind of average and the vocals hit these quick out of tune parts. I'm still torn. Is this a flopping fish or a unique idea that will continue growing like a virus in my head? I'm confused

This song was the replacement song, so I'm glad to see that it's not at the bottom of the list. Definitely not Metal, Really a simple track that reminds me of a slow Weezer song. For Tony and me it's a hometown artist. I thought that what made this track interesting was the theme. I wondered if the judges ranked it low, but as the weeks went by moved it higher based on that relatability factor. Great music and flow are a major part of music creating, production is also huge, this song had both. It dod lay a little flat for me, but I like a song with subject matter that I can relate to, so if I'm having a shitty week, and all I want to do is go hangout with my buds and have a drink. This song is the shit. So For a guy with a voice and a guitar, I thought He had good tones, good pitch, and a memorable name.

A one man band created by this eighteen year old phenom. It's an epically beautful song with a full space filling sound. Good progression, and transitions. This kid plays every instrument and does his own vocals. While the drums are an easy drummer program, it's nice. There are definitely production issues, The vocals hit a couple of bumps as they go on, and the drums are a bit buried in the mix. All in all I really appreciate this effort. This song would have benefited from a longer length. There wasn't much build up time, and Johan can tell you what I would think the vocals need more of. Reverb. His other songs tell me that he's a guitarist and a pretty damn good one.
SHOW NOTE>>>>>>>>>>>>
Why the fuck do you upload your music to a site and then not share the links to it on your fucking facebook page. If you don't have a website your facebook page is your main site. Add your damn links to your about section at least. You only have to do it once and they last forever. When you do upload your music to a site. USE THE SAME GOD DAMN NAME AS IS YOUR BANDS NAME!!! Do the research. Find a name that you don't need to add music or band to the end of. This will be the last month I will ignore this. I'm the social media guy on this fucking podcast and so not saying something makes me look stupid.

Kinda cool, super groovy, but kinda boring. I love the little off beats, and the punky vocals. The only real momenys in this track are the sharp guitar tones. It has this empty sound to it, and while I think the sound is current, and I'm a fan of Lemon Party, It's obvious that this was never going to be my favorite song of the countdown. Did you know lemon parties are a thing? I wonder if they picked the band name because of the Lemon Party epidemic or if it was just luck. I mean shit, bands should do a little research before choosing their name. Or have your links clearly posted on your most popular pages. This band among a couple of others were really hard to research, and if it wasn't for google. I would never have even found their Facebook page.while they are on YouTube and Facebook they aren't Lemon Party on them they are Lemon Party band, and I hate when bands end up doing that

Ballads never do good on this podcast, and poppy ones just die here, but when I heard the way this months list was going, I asked my good friends and former featured artist to make a come back with their track Watercolors. While you might be hearing this track for the first time, I have had this in my iTunes rotation for almost a year now. I can assure you that putting it in yours is a safe bet as well. Theres not a lot involved in this song. It's stripped down but fills the soundspace the same as another song might but by using more. It's so simple that I think it's genius. Perfect vocals with the right amount of effects, with just the piano, and then one burst of energy and epicability. I've been waiting a long time to give these kids the props they deserve. I mean shit. Tell me theres a bad or wrong note any where in this song. You can't. It's a story, a journey, and an emotional rollercoaster that lasts only 4 minutes. BAM! Theres my number fucking one! To me I think it's easier to belch out a wicked straight line metal song then it is to hold back like these guys just did. Thats why all the big guys do a ballad or two. To prove that they can. Thats why they always sell huge. Because it shows diversity and talent

well lets do this. We have entered into The Unsigned Twilight Zone. A world in which a metal review podcast reviews a folk song. Good tones, simple understated drums, and a bluesy Flky guitar. What I personally enjoyed was the imagdry behind the lyrics. like a story you might here some where. That being said, let me say that unlike a lot of songs we've featured, this track did not grow on me. In fact the more I heard it the less original it became. My problem is that while I respect talent, and theres no doubt of Bens talent, this style is not what I prefer to listen to a lot. Once in a while sure but I could never sit threw an entire album of it. This is probably the rockenest song he has so if you love folk music check Ben Joseph out on Soundcloud, If not move on.

Well prepare to hate me now. lol. I didn't care for this track as much as I would have hoped. Strange though because it has all of the ingredients to make for a great band. I'll explain my thoughts here because I'm pretty sure my co-hosts and guest judges have already fallen in love. We featured a band named Behold Triumph. When we did they were considered a Pantera copy cat. This band for me is the same animal, but with way to much going on around the vocals. It seemed that every 50 seconds the song morphed into another song. No break downs no featuring of any one instrument, Which to me says poor song writing. To me it's like every band member is showcasing at once, and that frustrated me. Talented group, Great name, bad ass sound, but just to much of it all at once.
SHOW NOTE>>>>>>>>>>
When you bands upload your song you're not filling out all of your Meta data. This is the information that travels with your file. When a fan downloads your tune you want them to have a record of your band name, song title, and album artwork. You may need to do this on your software before uploading, but if you don't, your great song will fall into the untitled folder and after a few hundred downloads that fan will have a hard time remembering who you are.
